Linda McMahon Donated $6 Million To Donald Trump’s Presidential Campaign After Calling Comments Against Women “Deplorable”

According to a brand new report by The Washington Post, former WWE CEO and two-time failed Republican Senatorial candidate Linda McMahon recently donated $6 million to a super PAC supporting Donald Trump’s campaign for President of the United States.

Linda’s contributions in August and September alone reportedly make up nearly one third of the money raised by Rebuilding America Now, The Donald’s super PAC, making her one of the leading external donors for the Republican party during this election.

The relationship between the McMahons and Trump should come as no surprise, as the pro wrestling power couple donated $5 million to the Donald J. Trump Foundation between 2007 and 2009. That “charity” has since come under fire on numerous accounts of alleged fraud and tax violations. But it was also Trump Plaza that plaid home to the McMahon’s greatest global masterpiece, WrestleMania, in both 1988 and 1989. And of course, who can forget the time Donald “bought” Monday Night Raw and had his very own WrestleMania match in front of 80,000 screaming fans in Detroit.

Normally a partnership – even a financial one – between a Trump and a McMahon wouldn’t raise many eyebrows, but Linda launched a company called Women’s Leadership Live earlier this year, which has become a platform for the empowering of women in leadership and business positions. However, her most recent donation to the GOP super PAC came weeks after Donald came under fire for past derogatory statements made about a former Miss Universe contestant, specifically about her weight, and just days before he was taken to task for allegations of sexual assault heading into the second televised Presidential Debate.

Mrs. McMahon spoke with Katie Couric of Yahoo! News back in March, and called some of Donald’s comments about women “deplorable” and “over the top” – and that was before any of the more damaging reports came out in the general elections. Still, Linda continued to support Trump as a strong choice for President, even in that same interview.
