Bobby Lashley
Bobby Lashley will be fighting for Bellator for the first time this year, according to a recent ESPN interview with Bellator President Scott Coker.
Lashley, who holds a 14-2 record, will fight at the October 21st Bellator event in Memphis, Tennessee which will air on Spike TV. An official opponent should be announced shortly; Lashley will also defend his TNA World Heavyweight Championship at Bound For Glory in Orlando on October 2nd.
Bobby Roode
Bobby Roode’s new NXT theme song ‘Glorious’ recently hit a milestone as it has surpassed one million views / plays on the WWE Music YouTube channel. Roode’s theme is notable because it was only uploaded three weeks ago, and it is already the third highest played track on the account, behind Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles’ themes.
Additionally, it is the third highest selling track on iTunes’ soundtrack charts as of this writing, and hit the top spot earlier this week.
Lucha Ilimitado
Lucha Ilimitado issued the following release, announcing a new live wrestling event this October featuring Rey Mysterio Jr, MVP and more:
New York Lucha Company To Hold First Show in Washington StateNEW YORK – ChuteVerks, LLC, a joint venture between NYC-based film and television companies Vrai Moi and Lost Colony Entertainment, has announced that it will begin promoting live wrestling events and producing content for television and the internet beginning this fall.
With an eye on both the English-speaking and Spanish-speaking markets, ChuteVerks’ first show will be presented under the “Lucha Ilimitado” brand and will take place Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Sundome in Yakima, Washington.
Currently signed to appear are Rey Mysterio Jr. and MVP, with a special appearance by Konnan. More names and matches will be announced in the days and weeks ahead.
