AJ Styles Says He Will Make John Cena “Despise” WWE After SummerSlam, Talks If He’s Obsessed with Cena, Post-SSlam Future and More

WWE star AJ Styles is the guest on this week’s sit down interview with Michael Cole, and below are some highlights.

Cole starts off by asking Styles why he is obsessed with John Cena, and Styles clarifies he’s obsessed with Cena still being in WWE. Styles adds if he can’t get rid of Cena, then he will make him “despise” WWE after SummerSlam Sunday night.

Cole asks if Styles is jealous of Cena, and Styles admits Cena has accomplished a lot of great things in WWE. But he said Cena accomplished those things while Styles was elsewhere, and he wonders if Cena would have had the same success in WWE had Styles been there the whole time. Styles said he’s angry because while John Cena is good, Styles is phenomenal.

Cole asks what has happened to the humble AJ Styles we saw when he first arrived in WWE, and Styles says sometimes you have to be a little selfish to get what you want in this business. Styles says Cena claims the future runs through him, but Styles lives in the present. And the present is SummerSlam and Styles will defeat Cena in front of a sold out crowd:

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
