Samoa Joe Says He Wants A Shot At Brock Lesnar, Comments On If New Titles Will Lead To Dilution, bWo’s WWE Network ‘Take Over’ (Video)

Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe recently participated in an interview with Forbes’ Alfred Konuwa while promoting this Saturday night’s WWE / NXT Takeover: Back To Brooklyn live special.

Joe talks about his ‘selfish reason’ for picking Brock Lesnar this Sunday at WWE Summerslam, says he doesn’t need to address Conor McGregor’s recent WWE comments and more. You can read a few highlights below:

Samoa Joe on McGregor’s recent comments:

“I think Conor McGregor is a promoter, and I’m not here to promote any of his fights. If he were here in WWE, that would be a different story, but until that happens I don’t feel like I need to address it.”

On picking Brock Lesnar over Randy Orton at SummerSlam:

“For selfish reasons, I’d like to see Brock stand tall until I get my hands on him. I’d like to see Brock pull through so I can get my shot at him.”

On when he’d like to face Lesnar:

“WrestleMania 33. Where else would we fight?”

Does Joe think WWE adding more titles will lead to dilution of championships:

“It just depends on who your champions are. Speculation [of dilution] is kind of pointless. It really comes to other people and how the WWE Universe reacts to multiple champions. These champions could cross paths and create these super-match cards.”

“Whether it’s diluted or not strictly [depends] on who’s carrying the championship and who is representing their brands accordingly.”
