Adam Rose’s New Mugshot T-Shirt Removed From Online Store Following Internet Backlash

Earlier today we noted that former WWE Superstar Adam Rose, now working under the name Aldo Rose, had released a t-shirt with his recent mugshot for purchase on his official prowrestlingtees store. However, the shirt has since been taken down. Ryan Satin of the Pro Wrestling Sheet reportedly spoke with sources who informed him that the decision was made mutually between Rose and the website to remove the item.

Rose (real name: Ray Leppan) was suspended by WWE in April for violating the company’s Wellness policy, despite claims from him and his doctor that he was only taking prescribed medication for ADHD that WWE had been aware of for some time. One month later he was arrested by Florida police on charges of domestic abuse and tampering with a witness, and soon after granted his release from WWE.

Although all charges against Rose have been dropped, the mugshot tee was seen to be in poor taste by many online, and the backlash earlier today was considerable. At the very least, it came across that a former WWE name was directly profiting off an incident of alleged domestic abuse.
