Ring Of Honor’s Kelly Klein Talks About Her Wrestling Background, What Skills Might Surprise Women Of Honor Fans

Ring Of Honor posted the following interview as a “special look” at Women Of Honor’s Kelly Klein. Klein talks about her wrestling background, how she might surprise some fans, and more:

Kelly Klein talks about developing her offensive style:

In addition to professional wrestling, I have been training with a boxing coach, Joe Hornsby.  Adding boxing to my training has elevated my striking abilities and given me an edge no other Woman of Honor has.
Klein talks about her athletic background influencing her wrestling:
As I said, I’ve added boxing to my training and elevated my entire style.  I continue to train as much as possible inside a wrestling ring.  Plus, for years I have been playing and coaching softball in addition to my wrestling career.  While the connection between what I do in the ring softball may not be obvious, the two sports are closely connected.  Through years of long, grueling practices and games – and now coaching a team – I learned discipline and endurance.

What skills does she have that might surprise Women of Honor fans?
I actually have an extensive history in musical theatre and choir!  During high school, I attended the  University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music Preparatory program where I earned my certificate in musical theater.   After that, I performed professional in a number of productions.  I’ve even competed and medaled at the World Choir Games!  These days, my favorite creative expression is less musical and more physical, much to the dismay of my opponents.
