WWE Extreme Rules

WWE.com posted a new article about a couple that got engaged at last night’s WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view, featuring quotes from the happy couple.

WWE fans Steven Van Geldren and Kimberly Lockwood became engaged at the event, and WWE caught up with Van Geldren after he posted the proposal on Instagram

Van Geldren explains how he got together with his girlfriend:

“Me and my girlfriend [Kimberly] met about two-and-a-half years ago through a mutual friend,” he explained. ”One night she was texting me and said, ’What are you doing?’ I’m like, “I’m watching Monday Night Raw,” and she was like, ‘Oh my God, so am I!’ We found out that we both had [WWE] in common, and once we started dating, we would watch Raw and SmackDown [every week]. She eventually moved in and we got WWE Network, which we’ve had since day one, so I figured [WWE Extreme Rules] would be a perfect opportunity [to propose].”

Van Geldren also told WWE why the Extreme Rules PPV made sense for the proposal:

“We don’t have a lot of money, but we spent a pretty good amount on the [Extreme Rules] tickets and got floor seats,” he said. “I’ve been planning on proposing to her for a while; I just didn’t know when or where to do it. Then, once we got those tickets, I just knew it would be the perfect thing to do. It defines our relationship.”
