WWE Live Event Results (3/6): Moline, IL; AJ Styles v The Miz, Darren Young In Tag Team Action, Dean Ambrose & Kevin Owens Main Event, More

Thank you to WrestleZone reader Rob Leach for submitting the following results for last night’s WWE Live event in Moline, IL:

I attended today’s WWE Live: Road To WrestleMania event today in Moline, IL, and it is the EXACT same from the show in Cedar Rapids on Saturday

AJ Styles defeated The Miz via Springboard Forearm

– Before the match, The Miz cut a classic heel promo, saying that the crowd needs to shut up while he takes off his glasses, and also saying, “When my hand goes up, your mouth goes shut.”

Darren Young and Jack Swagger defeated Curtis Axel and Adam Rose via Patriot Lock on Curtis Axel

– For his entrance, Swagger was wearing a workout sweatshirt and shorts, but wrestled in his actual gear.

– Before the match, The Outcasts cut a promo, basically getting the crowd pumped. They seem to be starting something new (chant-wise) because they have started moving their arms through the air like an axe and yelling high-pitched yipes. They also did this when they greeted the fans at the back of the building before the show.

Kalisto successfully defended his US Title against King Barrett

– Barrett was seemingly working under the “Bad News” gimmick, considering he wore his BNB gear and before the match, cut a promo and used his “I’m afraid I’ve got some bad news” phrase.

The New Day retained their titles against the Usos and The Dudley Boyz after the Dudleys hit the 3-D on an Uso, and Xavier super kicked them both out of the ring and hit the pin. After the match, the Dudleys went to attack the Usos, but were both super kicked out of the ring.

INTERMISSION

Charlotte defeated Becky Lynch to retain the Diva’s Title via Rollup.

– I didn’t notice any complications Charlotte may have been having with her recent injury scare.

Sheamus defeated Neville via Brogue Kick with the ref’s help, as in the ref holding Neville away from the ropes.

– Sheamus grabbed a mic during the match and started down-grading the crowd, saying if anybody looks stupid, it’s the crowd.

In the main event, Dean Ambrose defeated Kevin Owens via DQ via Owens not backing away from the ropes before a five count. Owens complained after the match and went to attack Dean, but Ambrose reversed the attack and hit Dirty Deeds to end the show.

– In the match, Owens went to grab a steel chair, but the referee stopped him.

NOTES AND OBSERVATIONS:

– During the tag match, Xavier got mad and said he hated everyone, and I couldn’t tell what he said towards his team, if it was anything different. He tried to walk out, but was dragged back by the Usos. Could this hint at possible cracks in the New Day?

– There was a guy dressed as Hulk Hogan in the audience. He didn’t get kicked out at all, and there was even a small Hogan chant during the show.

– There was another guy dressed as a Lion, who was acknowledged by Sheamus.

Pop of the night:

5. Neville

4. Kalisto

3. Usos

2. Dudleys

1. A tie between Ambrose and Styles

Most heat:

5. Social Outcasts

4. Charlotte
