The following results are from tonight’s NXT live event in Columbus, Ohio courtesy of Chris Featherstone from Sports Illustrated and the Pancakes and Powerslams Show reporting for WrestleZone.com.

Asuka defeated Alexa Bliss via submission

– Great back and forth match, Asuka wins with Asuka Lock. Split cheers for Asuka & Bliss during the match, because Bliss was hometown girl.

Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa defeated The Vaudevillains

– Ciampa/Gargano win with simultaneous superkick/running knee while Gotch was kneeling. Gargano was over huge, being from Cleveland.

Apollo Crews defeated Tye Dillinger

– Dillinger cuts a heel promo on crowd and crews before match; good, long match with Crews winning with the Atomic Powerbomb. *Dillinger returned from a knee injury.*

Nia Jax and Eva Marie defeated Peyton Royce and Billie Kay

– Sloppy match, with Eva pinning Royce after a Nia Jax Samoan Drop. Eva got a bunch of heat as normal. Nia actually received the most pops because the crowd wasn’t very interested in Kay & Royce.

Sami Zayn defeated Baron Corbin

– Awesome, exciting match, with Corbin playing the heel very well. Crowd was very much into the match, with multiple “NXT!” chants. Zayn wins with a Helluva Kick, and was very moved by ovation from crowd before the match.

INTERMISSION

– William Regal comes out after intermission and talks about how it was a year ago that NXT stepped out of Florida for the first time and came to Columbus. Promo was short, but poignant.

NXT Tag Team Championship

The Revival (Dash and Dawson) (c) defeated Chad Gable and Jason Jordan to retain

– Very solid match, Jordan & Gable were way over. Scott Dawson pins Chad Gable with a Owen vs. Bret style WrestleMania X Electric Chair rollup.

NXT Women’s Championship

Bayley (c) defeated Emma to retain

– Solid match, with EMMA getting some good heat. Bayley wins with the Bayley to Belly. Bayley celebrates for a while post-match hugging a bunch of kids.

NXT Championship

Finn Balor defeated Samoa Joe to retain

– Hard-hitting match, but relatively short. Crowd was split down the middle, both were favorites. Balor wins with Bloody Sunday, but it looked more like an elevated DDT because he couldn’t get Joe up all the way.
