As noted, production has begun on the movie adaptation of “Baywatch”, the popular television series from the nineties featuring David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson.
The film, which will star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Mitch Buchannon, the role originally played by David Hasselhoff, opens in theaters on May 19th, 2017.
The adaptation focuses on a straight-laced lifeguard, Buchannon, who is forced to team up with a young hothead, played by Zac Efron, in order to save their beach from environmental destruction at the hands of an oil tycoon.
