As noted, former WWE Champion Batista met with Vince McMahon last month, and during the meeting McMahon pitched an idea which would see Batista make a one-off appearance at WrestleMania 32. Batista reportedly turned down the idea, and as of this writing he will not be appearing at ‘Mania.
According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, the idea pitched to Batista would have seen The Animal act as the special guest referee in the Roman Reigns vs Triple H WWE World Title match, in order to stack the deck against Reigns.
In other WrestleMania news, Meltzer is reporting that former WWE and WCW Champion Bill Goldberg has not been contacted by WWE officials regarding an appearance at WrestleMania this year.
