Lucha Underground appears to be taping its Ultimate Lucha 2 event on January 31st.
After he lost his job with TNA following a run in Lucha Underground, Hernandez is suing Lucha Underground, claiming the promotion provides an unsafe working environment.
The issues between LU and Hernandez date back to the summer of this year, and he was officially released from the company in September.
Hernandez returned to TNA when he left LU, and told TNA officials he was no longer under contract with LU, but that was apparently not the case, and as a result TNA had to re-edit all the footage shot with Hernandez so he wouldn’t appear on any of their TV shows. TNA was also forced to part ways with Hernandez.
With regards to Konnan, he remains under contract with Lucha Underground, but he has not been used and as of now it’s unclear if he will be used anytime soon. Konnan’s LU status was a topic of conversation at the last set of TV tapings as Rey Mysterio made his debut, but Konnan, who remains close with Mysterio, was not at the tapings.
Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.
