GFW Rumored to Be in Talks with a Big Hollywood Name, Backstage News on the NEX*GEN Title Change, Latest Updates on a GFW TV Deal

gfwAccording to PWInsider.com, the reason why PJ Black dropped the Global Force Wrestling NEX*GEN Title to Sonjay Dutt, before AMPED has aired its first broadcast, is because Black has signed with Lucha Underground forcing him to drop the GFW title.

Back in the beginning of August, WZ Daily host Nick Hausman spoke with GFW’s Jeff Jarrett, which you can listen to in the video player below, and during the interview Jarrett revealed that GFW currently has 16 episodes of AMPED taped. PWInsider noted that GFW is currently being represented by Boulder Creek International for TV distribution, and GFW was represented at MIPCOM (International Market of Communications Programmes) in France last month as well as SPORTEL, a sports content media convention in Monaco. The promotion will also be represented at a TV broadcasters convention in Singapore this week.

Next week, Jeff Jarrett will be making announcements regarding more GFW live events in the U.S. and internationally. Jarrett will also be attending the winter meetings for Major League Baseball and Minor League Baseball in Nashville to discuss bringing more GFW Grand Slam events to ballparks.

Finally, GFW is rumored to be in the final rounds of talks with a “major Hollywood player”, and talks reportedly began after the first set of AMPED TV tapings. No word yet on who the name might be or the role he or she will have in GFW.
