Exclusive: “Eugene” Nick Dinsmore on Chances of 4 Horsewomen in WWE: “I’m Not Supposed to Stooge Off Anything, But…” (Audio Included)

nick dinsmoreThis past Wednesday’s edition of The Chicago Wrestling Rebellion on WLPN 105.5 FM (Lumpen Radio) featured an airing of my interview with “Eugene” Nick Dinsmore courtesy of WrestleZone Radio.

Below is the full audio of both the Dinsmore interview and this past Wednesday’s episode of The Rebellion. We also have transcribed quotes from Nick Dinsmore and other guests on the show:

In the interview Dinsmore comments on Shayna Baszler appearing for his new promotion and training center Midwest All Pro in Sioux Falls, SD. She is from the area and will be appearing at his first show on November 7th. Baszler is most known as one of the Four Horsewomen in the UFC alongside Ronda Rousey. It should be noted that Dinsmore has also been used recently as a coach for WWE NXT.

Here is what Dinsmore had to say in regards to the possibility of seeing the Four Horsewomen together in a WWE ring:

ND: Well, you know, I’m not supposed to stooge off anything that’s coming up but it’s probably a pretty good chance that if there are four of them and there are three other girls around Ric Flair’s daughter that we could see a 3-on-3 or 4-on-4 eight woman tag match. Probably some time in the future.

This episode also featured regular co-host of The Rebellion Ross Berman. Ross was at WWE Monday Night RAW this past Monday night in Chicago and had the following to say in regards to the way John Cena and Dolph Ziggler interacted after their match:

RB: When the lights went down and they went to commercial the two of them just hugged it out in the ring. They just kind of did this, “Good match brother,” hug as they’re exiting the ring. Let’s put it this way, it was a respectful moment. They shared a moment of respect when I think they thought they were off camera.

Also, the manager for Freelance Wrestling champion Isaias VelazquezCoach Joe, joined the show live. Coach Joe is also known outside of Freelance Wrestling in Chicago as Joe Phelan. Phelan is a legitimate amateur wrestling coach for Regional, State and National champions. He is currently the assistant head coach for the storied Chicago Catholic League. Joe had the following to say in regards to fellow Chicago grappler CM Punk’s chances in the UFC:

JP: I don’t think he’s got that strong of an amateur wrestling background. I honestly don’t think he’s going to stand much of a chance when he gets in there with someone who’s got serious, serious wrestling and jiu jitsu to them. I’m not sure he’s going to be successful. I like the guy, I thought he was a hell of a competitor inside of a professional wrestling ring. But that octagon, I’ve trained fighters and that octagon humbles a lot of people. I’ve seen four time state champions, All-American wrestlers get humbled just in a local octagon. Not even on the big UFC stage or Bellator. I’ve seen some National All-Americans just get absolutely humbled inside of an Octagon. So, I wish him the best but I don’t see it working out for him.
