ROH CEO Reprimands Talents for Holding “Wrestler’s Court” at Television Tapings

Backstage at the September 19th Ring of Honor TV tapings, a “wrestler’s court” was apparently held.

Wrestler’s court is something that used to be done back in the day in WWE, and it’s a way of talent holding court for other talents who are accused of doing something wrong. If the talent is found “guilty” the punishment typically involves the guilty party picking up everyone’s bar tab or something along those lines.

In the ROH case, it involved referee Gino Colucci. BJ Whitmer was the “judge” in the court, and Michael Elgin was the “defense.” Colucci ended up being “cleared of the charges,” however when ROH CEO Joe Koff heard of the wrestler’s court he was none too pleased.

Koff reportedly issued a statement to talents, telling them never to do that again, as they should be focusing on that night’s performances and not wrestler’s court.

-September 19th in Waco, TX drew 4,000 fans (Roman Reigns tour)

-September 19th in Beaumont, TX drew 4,000 fans (Cena tour)

-September 21st in Laredo, TX for RAW drew 6,100 fans

-September 22nd in Corpus Christi, TX for SmackDown drew 4,500 fans

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
