Steve Austin, Sheamus and Seth Rollins Talk WWE 2k16, Overview of New Game Features Including New Reversal & Pin Systems

wwe 2k16Brian Fritz of SportingNews.com caught up with Steve Austin, Sheamus and Seth Rollins during the WWE 2k16 media event in New York City over SummerSlam weekend, and the following are some quotes from the WWE stars on the upcoming game:

Steve Austin:

“[WWE 2k16] is the biggest, baddest, coolest video game that’s ever been put together.”

“These days when you pick up a video game and do the same stuff that I was doing back in the day, you’ll get a sense of some of the shenanigans, the thrills, the chills, the spills, some of the great stuff that I was able to do.”

Sheamus:

“The level of the game is amazing. It seems like every year they can’t make it any better, they can’t top it and they do. There’s so many features as well. You can use so many holds, the reversals are great, even better, the different ways for pins, and the entrances are so unique when you come out. It pans around the entire arena so it’s like watching TV. My new look is in there so it’s awesome.”

Seth Rollins:

“2K continues to improve every single year. They’ve got Yukes on board again. It’s awesome and I’m the champ in the game so you can’t really beat that. They’ve got my chest hair, they’ve got my music, they’ve got everything. It’s awesome.”

The following is a brief overview of the new reversal system in the game, and you can click on the above link for more new feature overviews:

New Reversal System: The reversal system has been reworked to improve the overall flow of the match and also create a new level of strategy during the matches. Each Superstar has a limited number of reversals he or she can perform that recharge over time, meaning players might not want to simply try and reverse every attack. In addition, “WWE 2K16” introduces Major and Minor reversals for select moves. Minor reversals are easier to perform and only require a single reversal stock. Major reversals are more challenging to perform; however, they yield a much greater reward than damage. Successful Major Reversals weaken the opponent in various ways and provide a new way to swing the momentum of the match in one’s favor.
