Update On Jeff Jarrett’s HOF Speech, Dixie Carter’s Story On Impact; Was It A Shoot?

impact_wrestling_splashAccording to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the dialogue heard from Jeff Jarrett and Dixie Carter at Jarrett’s Hall of Fame ceremeony was legitimate.

Jeff talked about reuniting with his father a few weeks before the ceremony, and it had been years since they had spoken. The reason for the faling out did have to do with TNA; Jerry thought Jeff chose Vince Russo over him as far as the company’s direction, and Jerry thought Jeff should follow him with his years of wrestling knowledge, versus the lack of years Russo had then. It was reported that the Jarretts’ relationship was so strained that Jerry hadn’t seen his granddaughters nor even attended his daughter-in-laws funeral.

As far as Dixie Carter’s story about her being in her mid-20s and meeting Jeff Jarrett in Dallas, that was also true. Jeff and Dixie met 25 years ago while Jerry ran World Class Championship Wrestling. Jeff then met Dixie again in 2002 to hire her public relations firm, and had no idea she came from a wealthy family.
