MCW Confirms Airing of Final “Piper’s Pit” Segment

rybackMaryland Championship Wrestling has issued the following:

On July 18, 2015 at what is our most celebrated event of the year, “The Shane Shamrock Memorial Cup” The WWE Hall Of Famer “Rowdy” Roddy Piper made what would become his final appearance at a Professional Wrestling event. It was only fitting that at our biggest event of the year that we bring in one of the biggest names in the history of our industry. 

“It is a special night every year at the Shamrock Cup but to have Roddy Piper want to go out on the show and do a live Pipers Pit made it even more special” says Dan McDevitt Owner of Maryland Championship Wrestling (MCW). Roddy Piper had as his guest Kevin Eck who is a former WWE Writer so that they could discuss the sometimes controversial topic of writers in the pro wrestling industry.  “What is now very surreal is that at the beginning of the segment Roddy tells the Fans I don’t have many more of these left so I want to have fun doing them” Says McDevitt 

MCW felt that something as historic and monumental as the very last Pipers Pit ever belongs to the fans and should be available for them to experience whenever they want. There will never be another “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and there will never be another Pipers Pit. Therefore MCW will be airing the final Piper’s Pit in its entirety for Free on our YouTube page tonight at 9PM EST

“Alicia, anticipating that her ex-boyfriend may be single again soon, toys with the idea of confessing her love to him; Jonathan takes heat for Eva’s bruises; and Paige is offended by Nikki’s classy take on her home turf.”

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
