Vince McMahon Comments on Possible Financial Ramifications of Hogan Firing

vince mcmahonVince McMahon participated in a WWE second quarter conference call today, and during the call Vince was asked several questions about WWE’s current financial state.

One of the questions specifically pertained to Hulk Hogan’s firing, and how it might impact the company due to his merchandise sales. Vince answered by saying Hogan’s firing has “no material effect on them.”

Update on Bully Ray Leaving TNA

As noted, despite being named the new authority figure in TNA, Bully Ray is already finished with the company because he had only signed a per-show deal with TNA which allowed him to leave anytime he wanted to.

According to The Wrestling Observer, it’s very likely we will see more cases like this in TNA, as the company is not signing many talents to long-term deals, but instead per-appearance deals. TNA is also not signing many talents to deals in which TNA is the first priority.

WWE Stock Soars
