6/24 TNA Impact Wrestling News & Notes: 5 Returning Names, New Champion Crowned; Videos From Last Night’s Episode

impact wrestlingAs we have been reporting, Jeff Jarrett (alongside wife Karen Jarrett) made a shocking return to the company he created last night, and announced that he would wrestle “one more match” at this weekend’s Slammiversary PPV. ‘Double J’ will compete in a match he put on the map back in 2004, the King of the Mountain.

In the opening contest, Tigre Uno defeated both Grado and Low Ki to win the vacant TNA X-Division Championship. As we noted last week, the title is now green. This is Tigre Uno’s first title win in TNA after making his debut in 2013.

Three-time WCW Champion, former IWGP Heavyweight Champion and former WWE Superstar Big Van Vader made a surprise return to TNA, answering an open challenge from Bram. When the 60-year-old ‘Mastadon’ came crashing off the top rope, Bram took advantage and hit him with a foreign object to cause a disqualification. ‘The Blueprint’ Matt Morgan than added to the list of returning names, taking out the Brit and standing tall.

Seven-time TNA tag champ Hernandez also made his return to the company last night, joining MVP’s Beat Down Clan faction to attack Drew Galloway’s The Rising.
