Mark Henry Returns to Action
As we had been reporting for several days, Rusev was injured last Tuesday night at the WWE Smackdown television taping, and was officially pulled from action at last night’s Elimination Chamber special event.
It was teased throughout the night that a “former world champion” would return to take Rusev’s place in the Elimination Chamber match for the vacant Intercontinental Championship. Despite speculation that Randy Orton or even Big Show may be inserted into the match, it was the “World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry who made his return at the PPV, competing alongside Ryback, Sheamus, King Barrett, Dolph Ziggler and R-Truth.
