Wade Barrett Confirms New Film Role; WWE Enters Two Picture Deal With British Production Company, Details & Synopsis For Both Films

wade barrettVariety is reporting a new partnership between WWE Studios and the British production-financing company Richwater Films, highlighted by a new two-film deal.

WWE Superstar ‘Bad News’ Barrett will star in “Eliminators,” which follows “a former U.S. federal agent who must abandon the witness protection program and come out of hiding after his London home is mistakenly invaded — leading to him finding himself on the run from Europe’s most dangerous assassin to get his daughter to safety.”

Variety is reporting a late spring start in filming, which Barrett himself confirmed earlier this afternoon. Barrett also revealed his role in the film, saying he would be playing the main role of the assassin in the movie. 

The other film in the deal, “Rampage,” is currently being developed with a planned production start for the end of this year.

The film is will be about “an American counter terrorism operative who must work with an English MI5 agent to take down a dangerous terrorist in London. WWE and Richwater plan for the film to go into production later this year.”
