We previously reported that WWE was now looking at bigger venues in Philadelphia to run a few NXT shows later this spring.

Rob Feinstein of RF Video recently posted the following update to his Facebook page, confirming reports that WWE will not be running NXT shows at the former ECW Arena in Philadelphia. Early reports had WWE reserving hold dates this May for the Arena, but ended up letting the holds expire.

Feinstein, who has ties to the arena, posted the following:

“A few websites reported over the weekend what I had said about NXT going to the arena and I was quoted all over the place. Well to update the situation today I was told that NXT will not be going to the arena after all. There is talk about getting a larger venue in town like the Temple University venue that TNA ran PPV’s out of.”
