Note On TNA’s New Audience Demographic For Impact Wrestling, Latest Making Towns With Curt Hawkins (VIDEO)

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting TNA has been seeing a much older audience since their move to Destination America last month. 

The average age in audience has been between 40 and 50 years old; it doesn’t really reflect on TNA as a company, but more to who is actually home watching on a Friday night. It was noted that WWE Smackdown also had an older audience when it was on Fridays, with an average age of 46 years old. 

BP: I know there have been plenty of complaints over the years about Smackdown being missable, or the ‘B’ show, but Impact is TNA’s only show. When people know the stigma of being placed on Friday nights, I can’t see why TNA didn’t fight for a permanent spot on another night. They debuted on Destination America on a Wednesday, and it was a much better night for them (on Spike too). More fans would watch, and NXT and Lucha Underground isn’t really competition. If they feared that, they could have gone for a Tuesday slot too.
