TNA Champion Bobby Lashley Injured & Pulled From Bellator MMA Fight; Another TNA Name to Replace Him?

bobby lashleyTNA World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Lashley has been pulled from Bellator 134, where he was scheduled to step inside the ring with 36-year-old heavyweight James Thompson on February 27.

“I feel I need to stay in bed a bit this morning and recover,” the former ECW Champion wrote on Instagram Tuesday morning. It’s unknown what kind of injury Lashley is facing, or how long it might put him out, but he did work all three of the recent Impact Wrestling tapings in New York to kick off 2015. The next show he is advertised for is the upcoming UK tour from January 29-31.

The Bellator fight was originally set to be a rematch between the two – albeit on a much bigger stage – following Lashley’s 2012 win over Thompson for the Indian “Super Fight League” promotion.

Ever the opportunist, Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal, has volunteered to replace Lashley in the fight.
