WWE agent Gerald Brisco has been recruiting athletes to come to WWE that normally would have pursued careers in mixed martial arts.

Brisco is also going to recruit hockey players too, and the idea is that he will persuade them by using WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar as an example. Brisco is telling them they can have a longer career in wrestling and make more money, and they can follow Lesnar’s career path to achieve success in WWE.

WWE Bringing Back Cruiserweight Wrestling?

WWE recently sent out a survey asking fans if they would support a return of cruiserweight wrestling to the company. WWE asked if the cruiserweights should have their own show on the WWE Network, or be used on other shows like RAW, Smackdown and NXT as a special attraction of sorts.

BP: There is so much indy talent out there, not to mention on the WWE roster right now, that could make this a success. Just off the top of my head, Tyson Kidd, Justin Gabriel, Zack Ryder, Los Matadores … then you have other names like Sami Zayn, Adrian Neville, The Lucha Dragons, and many others that they could start with. In case it wasn’t clear, my answer is an emphatic yes!
