Update On TNA Finding New Network; GFW Said To Be Talking To Same Networks, Possible Issue For TNA, Is Jim Ross Talking To Any Wrestling Companies?

TNA Finding New NetworkTNA Finding New Network

TNA Wrestling and Global Force Wrestling, Jeff Jarrett‘s new promotion, are reported to be talking to the same networks about a television deal.

Few networks are interested in adding pro wrestling content, but TNA actually is viewed as having the upper hand in the situation. TNA is an active company, continuing daily operations, as well as having a twelve year history and several names under contract.

GFW will have a bit of a harder time signing a TV deal, and Spike TV declining to renew Impact could have had an effect on both companies getting new deals.

TNA faces another issue in signing a new deal, and they are rumored to be talking with networks that do not have Canadian TV air space. Spike TV does air in most of Canada and brought strong numbers, but the new networks TNA is talking to don’t have any Canadian programming.

Jim Ross Doing Commentary

Jim Ross has denied having talks with New Japan wrestling about a commentary role, and this is correct. It is being reported however, that Ross has had talks with GFW about a possible working relationship.
