9/30 WWE Main Event Results: Cesaro vs Swagger, Tyson/Natalya Drama Continues, Henry Destroys Bo Dallas & More

[…Cont.]

Cesaro hits another ax handle from the top turnbuckle as we come back. He hits yet another and picks up a two-count. He goes to the well a fourth time, but Swagger clocks him with a hard elbow and sends him flying with a top rope arm drag. Loud “We the People” chants as Swagger builds some momentum, hitting the Swagger Bomb for two. Cesaro with a dropkick, but he gets caught off the ropes with a side slam for another nearfall. Jack rolls into an ankle lock out of nowhere, but his opponent gets to the ropes. He tries for it again, but gets caught with an enzuigiri. Cesaro with an impressive deadlift spinebuster, followed by a sunset flip pin, but Swagger counters into the Patriot Lock. Cesaro crawls to the ropes but gets dragged back to the middle of the ring. He eventually does break the hold and Jack uses all of a 4-count before releasing the hold. The ref checks on him then fixes the ring apron, which had been pulled up, and Cesaro uses the moment to get an eye poke and a huge uppercut for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Cesaro

KILLAM: A really, really solid opener. These two obviously know each other well at this point. They went more than 10 minutes with a brief commercial spot, and I didn’t mind the heel-tastic end to the match, as it hasn’t been over-done by Cesaro recently, and they pulled it off well. Seems like these two always trade wins depending on who is semi-relevant at the moment.

-Backstage, Natalya and Tyson Kidd are arguing as per usual. Nattie wants Corporate Kane to book her husband in a match, but Tyson says he doesn’t need anyone’s help. Kane gets pissed and yells at them. He books Tyson in a match next, and makes a crack about reality stars.
