Brock Lesnar Wins WWE World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam

Mike Killam

Undertaker vs Brock LesnarBrock Lesnar defeated John Cena at WWE SummerSlam to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The match was essentially a one-sided massacre, with Michael Cole putting over Lesnar’s astounding 16 suplexes to Cena throughout the course of the match.

Lesnar is now a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, IWGP Heavyweight Champion, and a 4-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

KILLAM: That was easily, without a doubt the most one-sided match I’ve ever seen in a PPV main event. I think Cena may have hit one move of doom; maybe two at the most. A lot of people thought Brock needed to destroy Cena, and do it clean, but that was on a whole different level. Zach Gowen put up more of a fight. Undertaker put up more of a fight, and he had a concussion. Seth Rollins should probably just hand over his briefcase to Paul Heyman now, because that title’s not going anywhere for a long, long time.
