Paul Heyman Discussed Two Proposed Angles For Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar WrestleMania Feud

paul heymanPaul Heyman was a guest on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani. During that interview, he revealed two angles that he proposed for the feud between his client, Brock Lesnar, and The Undertaker for WrestleMania 30. Vince McMahon nixed both of his ideas, but Heyman wanted to talk about the history he had with The Undertaker to build the feud.

Paul Heyman said he wanted to utilize footage of The Undertaker’s confrontation with Lesnar after his fight in UFC against Cain Velasquez on October 23, 2010 in Anaheim, California. During that confrontation, The Undertaker asked Lesnar “Do you wanna do it?” as each stared the other down. WWE wanted to book Lesnar vs. The Undertaker at the following WrestleMania while Lesnar was still under contract with UFC.

Another proposed idea Heyman had was tying his managerial days with The Undertaker while they were in WCW. Heyman managed “Mean” Mark Callous in WCW before he came to WWE and known as The Undertaker. He wanted to use footage of The Undertaker in WCW with his match against Lex Luger at The Great American Bash in July of 1990.

Due to his persona being preserved, WWE never acknowledges Undertaker’s time in WCW. Even though Undertaker talks about it in his 2001 DVD “Undertaker: This is My Yard.”

Isenberg: It should not come to a surprise that WWE did not want to use either of these angles since they have been so stern on revealing anything more about The Undertaker than we already know. They want to keep his gimmick safe, which is why you never see The Undertaker do media appearances or anything of that sort. When The Undertaker is finally retired, do not be surprised if they finally reveal footage of him in WCW in a documentary. You could always see his old WCW days on the WWE Network, which is only $9.99
