Backstage News on Matt Hardy’s Future With ROH, TNA Pursuing Talent, WWE Superstar Celebrates Birthday

Matt Hardy’s ROH Status

matt hardyThe Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Matt Hardy‘s final date with Ring of Honor is tonight, barring him signing a new contract. Hardy was booked on future dates, but word going around is that they were not happy that Hardy worked TNA tapings in NYC a few weeks ago.

Regarding TNA and ROH, both companies are still battling to sign talent. Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly are two names that TNA has been targeting. With a strict budget from Sinclair Broadcasting, Ring of Honor may have a harder time signing these guys back to a new contract. Their contracts have expired and TNA has shown interest in them coming to TNA to work with The Wolves.

WWE Superstar Birthday

WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar celebrates his 37th birthday today. Shane Helms is celebrating his 40th birthday, while NXT wrestler Sami Zayn turns 30 years old.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
