Is The Shield Split Up Just a Swerve?, Big Update on Matt Hardy’s Future in TNA & ROH, News on His TNA NYC Pay

Is The Shield Break-Up a Swerve?

matt hardyAccording to PWInsider.com, The Shield breaking up is NOT a swerve, and there are no plans to bring the group back together anytime soon.

It was confirmed this past week that the group is indeed done and all 3 members will be going their separate ways. As we reported yesterday, summer plans for names like Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, Kane and John Cena are in the works, and they all include The Shield members working as singles wrestlers.

Big Update on Matt Hardy's Future in TNA & ROH

According to The Wrestling Observer, Matt Hardy was paid double his usual booking fee to appear on the NYC Impact Wrestling tapings this week.

Typically, Hardy charges $1,500 per appearance, plus hotel and transportation fees, and $300 for his wife, Reby Sky.

With regards to Matt's future in TNA and Ring of Honor, it's being said Matt has not signed a longterm contract with either company, nor does he want to. Matt would like to continue working for both companies, even though he realizes that might not be possible, but he's not looking to sign-on as a regular for any company right now.

Hardy recently said on an edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that he's set for life financially as a result of the money he made in WWE, but he likes to work the indy's to bring in some extra income and remain apart of pro wrestling.
