-Aiden English and Simon Gotch are out to start the show, with their black-and-white stop-motion entrance. English says they have a combined height of over 12 feet – I laughed.
The Vaudvillians vs. Matt Sugarman & Perkins
English has Sugarman – who is "a big Bastion Booger fan" according to Renee Young – in a hammer lock while he taunts his opponent. Gotch tags in and gets Matt in a leg lock, and starts doing push-ups on the mat. Sugarman starts battling back with elbows, but Gotch catches him with a rolling senton, and English finishes things off with a Swanton Bomb for the win.
Winners: The Vaudvillians
KILLAM: There was like three guys in the audience chanting for the Vaudvillians throughout the match. Last week I ripped on them for being AWFUL on the mic backstage, but it's hard to hold it against such young rookies. That being said, in ring their gimmick is pretty charming, if that's the right word. Their senton/swanton combo – called "That's a Wrap" – actually fits the weird Vaudville styles, tumbling and flying around. It needs work, but it was much better this week.
