Latest Backstage News on Tommy Dreamer’s Dixie Carter Promo; Was it Part of the Show?, More on Bully Ray Being Pulled from the Event

tommy dreamerAs we reported over the weekend, TNA star Bully Ray was pulled from Tommy Dreamer's House of Hardcore 4 event, and Dreamer cut a promo in front of the live crowd noting he was informed the night before that Ray would not be at the event.

Dreamer then cut a scathing promo on Dixie Carter, calling her a Twitter mark, etc, and the main event of the evening had to be changed to accommodate Bully Ray's absence.

After initial speculation that Dreamer's promo was a work, PWInsider.com is reporting it was NOT originally part of the show, and Dreamer did in fact find out only the night before that Bully Ray would not be at House of Hardcore as originally scheduled.

Ray was supposed to work the House of Hardcore event as part of a deal made between TNA and HOH when Dreamer's promotion helped fill the house for TNA when it ran a One Night Only taping a few months back in Poughkeepsie. Dreamer was reportedly really upset that he had to change his House of Hardcore main event at the last minute.

As of Sunday, Dreamer is still working as an agent/producer for TNA, but his promo on Dixie was indeed a shoot, and was intended for the fans in attendance who were deprived of the originally planned main event. As we noted, Bully Ray also apologized to fans for being pulled from the event.
