Angle For Rusev in NXT Dropped, Backstage News on WWE Letting Contracts Expire

Josh Isenberg

NXT Angle For Rusev

rusevPlans for Rusev and Mojo Rawley have been scrapped, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Rusev attacked Rawley at NXT Takeover and there were plans in place for them to continue their feud. Rusev was not seen on NXT this past week and there was only a small mention of him.

It appears that Rawley will move on towards another feud, while Rusev will continue to stay on the main roster.

Backstage News on Contracts Expiring is reporting that there is a belief that WWE are letting contracts expire, instead of announcing their release, as a way to downplay the controversy and negative feelings people have when leaving WWE.

Instead of the company announcing that they have released superstars, they are letting the contracts expire and the wrestlers announce it themselves.
