Lots of Ring of Honor Notes: Christopher Daniels Signs Contract, PPV Debut Update, Adam Cole Headed to Japan & More

IMG_3437According to a recent report by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, former TNA star Christopher Daniels has signed a contact with Ring of Honor that will see him return to the company in a near full-time capacity. Or rather, as "full-time" as Ring of Honor gets between live events and the occasional iPPV. He is one of the key advertised figures for next month's "Best in the World" live pay-per-view debut. And speaking of which, the PPV will be broadcast on all major US networks including inDemand, Dish Network and DirecTV.

While the New Japan Crew was in the United States, ROH World Champion Adam Cole did a try-out for Gedo and Jado, who book the NJPW shows, as did "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin. Apparently Cole impressed the team and will be heading to Japan in the future, but Elgin will not.

Rising Japanese star Takaaki Watanabe – who worked the recent ROH iPPV events – will be one of the talents appearing for Ring of Honor on a more frequent basis going forward. Officials have made it a point to get the 27-year-old talent as over as possible, so ROH doesn't waste the Japan talent the way TNA did in years past.
