5/26 WWE RAW Rating & Viewership Info: Pre-Payback Numbers Down Even Further From Last Week’s Year Low

Mike Killam

raw in ukWWE continues its ratings struggle this week after a poor pre-taped performance in the UK last week, and Memorial Day this Monday night. With the previous show bringing in the lowest rating of 2014, and the lowest non-holiday Raw of the "three hour era", many thought the numbers had nowhere to but up. However, this year's final score was a 2.64, with an average of only 3.6 million viewers, down from 2.72.

To put that number in perspective, Memorial Day of 2013 was up 0.2 over this year's rating, with almost 400,000 more viewers tuning in. The holiday certainly did not help, nor did the NBA Playoffs semi-finals – which did over 7 million viewers – but RAW faced both those challenges last year as well.

The good news is that historically TV numbers on go-home shows are poor indicators of PPV buys, and with WWE doing most of their views on the Network anyways, it likely won't matter too much in the long run.
