Update: Judge Dismisses Lawsuit Filed by Independent Wrestler Against WWE and Numerous Employees

judge dismisses lawsuitAccording to PWInsider.com, a Florida judge has dismissed a lawsuit brought forth by independent wrestler Brian Jack against WWE and numerous WWE employees.

The lawsuit stemmed from injuries Jack claimed he suffered in the ring back in 2009. The suit was dismissed, however, due to Jack's failure to serve the defendants in a timely manner.

Jack initially named WWE, Steve Keirn, Steve Keirn Inc. aka Florida Championship Wrestling, NXT, and additional John and Jane Does to be named in September 2013. On March 21st of this year, he filed an updated lawsuit that included Kristin Altman, Scott Amann, James Andrews, Ty Bailey, Richard Blood (Ricky Steamboat), Gerald Brisco, Anthony Carelli (Santino Marella), Pierre Clermont, Pete Gruner (Billy Kidman), John Laurinaitis, Vince McMahon, NXT Wrestling, David Otunga, Tom Prichard, Robert Remus (Sgt. Slaughter), Virgil Runnels (Dusty Rhodes) and Norman Smiley.

A motion made by Jack to extend the time needed to serve the defendants was denied back on March 25th, as he had already received a time extension back in January of this year. Jack initially filed the suit back in September of 2013, which was the third time the suit had been filed in some form.
