–Intercontinental Champion Big E is announced to kick off tonight's show. He is dressed to compete, but the commentary team – Byron Saxton and Tom Philips – says that Christian suffered a slight concussion on Raw and will not compete. Instead, we will have a triple threat match to determine the new #1 contender, who will face Big E later on tonight.

Sheamus vs. Alberto del Rio vs. Dolph Ziggler

Ziggler gets tossed to the outside early, leaving del Rio and Sheamus to brawl around the ring. The crowd starts a "Let's Go Ziggler" chant early and often, but he gets run over by a shoulder block from Sheamus. Ziggler tries to steal the win with a quick roll-up, but only gets two. Sheamus sets up Dolph for his signature ten beat thing on the apron, but del Rio hits him with a step-up enzuigiri from behind. ADR attacks Ziggler on the floor, throwing him into the barricade as we go to a short commercial break.
