3/11 WWE Main Event Results: Dean Ambrose Defends Against Mark Henry; Divas Championship Match Steals the Show

[…Cont]

AJ misses a splash in the corner and gets caught with a suplex. Natalya with a dropkick, followed by a sit-down bodyslam (falcon arrow?) for a count of two. She tries for another suplex, but AJ counters into the third Black Widow of this match, but again Natalya straight-up powers out of the hold. She sets up for the Sharpshooter, but AJ rolls through it. Another Sharpshooter, and this time the hold is locked in! The champion crawls for the ropes but Nattie drags her back to the center of the ring – Tamina pushes the ropes towards AJ and this time she breaks the hold.

Natalya takes a shot at Tamina, obviously frustrated now. The two come face-to-face on the apron, but the challenger turns around into a big running kick. AJ locks in the Black Widow for a fourth time, and this time Natalya has to tap out.

Winner: AJ Lee

Mike's Thoughts: Well, that was the best non-NXT Divas match I've seen in…a very long time. I actually don't remember a better one in the last few years – I don't remember a lot of Divas matches though, in all fairness. Why is this match happening on Main Event? This was a PPV level championship match, regardless of gender. The kind that could get fans saying "hey, women's wrestling isn't terrible."

Emma and Santino are having their "first date" backstage. Their dinner reservations were cancelled so they have the date in catering. Santino accidentally tucks the tablecloth into his shirt, so he ends up pulling everything – food included – onto Emma's lap. There's a bunch of slap-stick comedy, Santino knocks himself out on the table, and that's…well, that's a date.
