NXT Arrival Pre-Show

We open with the expert panel, hosted by Renee Young. Renee introduces us to the rest of the star-studded panel: Bret Hart, Kevin Nash and Paul Heyman. Nash mentioned that he was missing his wife's birthday to take part in this "special" event. Heyman gives Renee a hard time for introducing him as "one of" the best managers of all time.

Next, there's a short video package introducing fans to NXT with a few highlights of past clips.

Michael Cole then takes a more in-depth look at what students learn at NXT in another pre-produced video. After that, Renee asks the panel a few follow-up questions. She asks Bret what it would have meant to him if he had NXT when he was still working. Bret talked about growing up in his dad's infamous "dungeon" and compared NXT to it. He said he's very impressed with WWE's young superstars. Heyman added that he's always looking for the next "Paul Heyman" guy and with NXT, he has a locker room full of potential Heyman guys.

Wyatt/Shield Segment

We cut to a Wyatt and Shield segment where the two groups talk about being the ones that "laid the foundation" for NXT. Seth Rollins mentioned during this that he was the first-ever NXT Champion. We cut back to the expert panel and Nash compares The Shield to himself, Scott Hall and X-Pac. Hart was asked about the Wyatt Family, and he said he liked their "unpredictability". He joked that there's something to be said about imbreeding with the Wyatts, but ultimately, the job was to put both groups over.

Renee cuts it to Paul Heyman who is live and mingling with the audience in attendance. He asks a couple of people what matches they are looking forward to, and both of them replied "all of them". Renee then runs down the matches for tonight's NXT Arrival event, starting with the NXT Diva's Championship between Emma and Paige.

Preview: NXT Diva's Championship Match – Paige (c) vs Emma

After the video package, Heyman put over the match before we cut to an interview between Natalya and the challenger, Emma. Emma said she thinks she's been underestimated as Natalya pumps her up and says she can win. Following the interview, Hart puts over how Natalya's mentorship could be the advantage Emma has over Paige. We then cut to an interview with Paige who said that Emma "isn't ready for tonight".

The Ascension Added To Card

Renee Young mentions that the NXT Tag Team Champions, The Ascension, have been added to tonight's card. Kevin Nash calls them "the future". This match being added was released and reported earlier.

Preview: Ladder Match for WWE NXT Title – Bo Dallas (c) vs Adrien Nevelle

Nash and Heyman talk about what it means to win the big one and be in this type of match. Then, we cut to Alex Riley interviewing Champion, Bo Dallas. Bo says that he's scared of spiders, but he's not scared of Adrien Nevelle. He said he will not have any fear when he climbs the ladder and takes "his" title. He closed with his catchphrase, "Don't stop Bo-lieving". Renee announced that Adrien Nevelle turned down an interview because he wants to focus on the match. Bret Hart picked Nevelle to win the match and called Bo Dallas a little "over-confident". Nash compared Bo's "cockiness" to that of HBK's, so Nash chooses Bo to win. Paul went neutral with his pick and said the winner would be whoever climbs the ladder and grabs the belt.

JBL then announces that Cesaro vs Sami Zayn to kick off the show, and it's time for the official start of NXT Arrival!
