Where's Layla?
It's been assumed that Layla's absence from WWE was still due to medical reasons. However, The Wrestling Observer is reporting that the WWE Diva is dealing with personal reasons, although no further details were given.
Earlier this month, we posted a story about how Layla's in-ring future was being questioned, with some thinking her days as a wrestler might be over. Layla is still under contract though, as of now.
Richie Steamboat Update
There had been some recent reports that Richie Steamboat was cut from WWE's developmental program. The Observer is reporting that Richie is also still under contract apparently, although he still remains sidelined with a major back injury that could still wind up ending his career.
WWE Interested In Podcasts
WWE launched their first podcast earlier this week with Renee Young. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that WWE is interested in doing more podcasts in the future. With the success of Steve Austin and Chris Jericho's online shows, WWE feels they can tap into that market as well.
It's also being said that WWE is considering following Mick Foley's recent success on the comedy club circuit by doing some sort of touring talk shows with their wrestlers.
