Abyss Unmasked, MVP Speaks for the First Time, Samoa Joe vs. Bobby Rode, Championship Match & More on This Week’s Impact Wrestling

TNA Impact WrestlingThe following are a handful of major storyline updates from this week's episode of TNA Impact Wrestling.

-In the infamous Monster's Ball match, Abyss faced off against tag team partner Eric Young. Although Abyss technically won the match he was unmasked, and saw his reflection in a piece of glass left in the ring, clearing up the confirming that "The Monster" Abyss and Chicago's Joseph Park are one in the same. Shocker!

-TNA's new investor MVP spoke for the first time since making his impact last week before a live UK crowd. MVP blamed TNA President Dixie Carter for the downfall of Impact Wrestling, wasting the talent roster and being another arrogant, self-centered authority figure.

-Dixie and MVP would come face-to-face later on Impact Wrestling, with the President gloating her accomplishments over the past decade of TNA. MVP crashed the party, stating she "didn't know a headlock from a padlock" and blamed her for crippling the company, announcing a brand new reign and age for TNA Wrestling.

-Earlier in the night, Zema Ion cashed in his "Feast or Fired" briefcase for a shot at the TNA X-Division Championship, facing off one-on-one with current champion Austin Aries. In a relatively short match, Aries used his signature Brainbuster to put down Zema and retain the title.

-Also on Impact, Samoa Joe stepped up to the plate and defeated Bobby Roode to – once again – become the number one contender to the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Joe pinned the champ last week in a big tag team match that technically earned him the right to a title match, but was forced to prove himself yet again on tonight's show. Samoa Joe will face Magnus for the championship at the upcoming Lockdown pay-per-view.
