Report: What the WWE Creative Team Was Told in Regards to CM Punk’s Departure

CM Punk Last week there was speculation that CM Punk suffered a concussion at some point during the Royal Rumble match, however those reports proved to be untrue as Punk passed an ImPACT test the Monday before his walk out and was said to be fine.

Although he did not suffer a concussion, however, Punk was indeed banged up following the Royal Rumble match, and according to PWInsider.com the creative team was told the next night on Raw that Punk went home because he "got his bell rung" during the Rumble.

There is belief in the company, and it could be because it was passed down from either Triple H or Vince McMahon, that Punk walked out simply because he was banged up, and not because he has been frustrated creatively, burnt out, or unhappy with his match plans at WrestleMania 30.

It is unknown what kind of communication, if any, has gone on between Vince and CM Punk since he walked out, but Vince might be under the impression that Punk left the company for no other reason than because he got hurt during the Rumble match.

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
