CM Punk On His WWE Contract Expiring Soon: “Everything Is Up In The Air”

cm punk royal rumbleCM Punk recently interviewed with Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com while Punk was visiting Chicago, and discussed a variety of topics, including his contract expiring this July, Warrior's upcoming induction into the 2014 Hall of Fame, his relationship with Vince, The Rock and more. They talk some MMA as well.

As far as his contract, Punk said it expires in July and that he doesn't know if he'll stick around once it expires. He stated that "everything is up in the air".

Punk mentions going through highs and lows in the business and while there are times he still has fun working, other times he doesn't.

Vince McMahon was brought up and Punk said he has an open line of communication to Vince.

"It's weird, because I don't ever sleep and I know he doesn't either, so I'll text him at like 4 in the morning…He gives me insomnia tips sometimes." Punk said, "It's funny…I go through a cycle where I just kind of stay out of the way and I don't talk to anybody, but then I realize I do have this ability to communicate with Vince McMahon – the guy I used to watch commentate. You know, it's weird, so then I'll just hit him with a bunch of weird questions."

Regarding his thoughts on the Ultimate Warrior being inducted into the Hall of Fame this year and who might induct him, Punk said: "He's a lot like me; he doesn't like anybody. And everybody who ever worked with him has pretty much just talked sh*t about him, so I'm kind of fascinated. I think popular opinion is Hogan is going to do it, but they hate each other. So, I threw my name in the hat."

While CM Punk seemed to be joking about actually induction Warrior into the Hall of Fame, he did mention that they talk a lot and have some sort of strange connection. Punk said the two have never officially met, however.

A very good interview that covers a lot. You can check it out below:
