PWInsider.com is reporting that the Ultimate Warrior being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame is somewhat of a surprise due to the fact that other big names were discussed prior. Most notably, Randy Savage's name came up multiple times over the past few months to headline the 2014 Hall of Fame, but that does not seem to be the case anymore. As for Paul Bearer, it looks like he is going to be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.

Since the event is in New Orleans, speculation ran about a Mid-South Wrestling involvement this year. As of right now, there does not seem to be any angle for that in the Hall of Fame. WWE is still discussing inducting its first-ever match into the Hall of Fame. That would include Hulk Hogan, Roddy Piper, Paul Orndorff and Mr. T.
