wwe tv dealThanks to David Golden for sending in the following live report from WWE Live in Hartford, CT.

WWE Live

Dec. 27, 2013 – Hartford, CT

This program was similar to MSG the night before. Due to traffic, I missed the first two matches with Rey Mysterio-ADR and Curtis Axel-Sin Cara. We arrived in time to see Los Matadores finishing up on 3MB with the dives to the outside. Nothing new here.

Brodus Clay vs. Zack Ryder

Lots of heat for Brodus, who now insists on being introduced as "the Main Event Playa." This was a short match, with Zack sneaking in the roll-up for the win.

Rhodes Brothers vs. Real Americans

Zeb Colter insulted UConn basketball and said he had three buses waiting outside to take the illegal immigrants back where they came from. The steel match itself was great, with some nice moves and wall spots. The crowd was noisy throughout the match. Goldust spent a lot of time in the ring being beaten up before finally getting the hot tag to Cody. Like the night before, Cody hit the moonsault of the top of the cage to get the pinball.

8 Diva Tag Team Match

The crowed voted for a dance-off (sure they did), which quickly turned into a brawl before Brad Maddox came out and announced a tag team match. The crowed stayed engaged for this. The match was nothing special, although Naomi and Brie looked pretty good throughout, and Kaitlyn had a couple of decent spots. Total Divas won.

Kane vs. Big Show with special guest referee Booker T.

This match was slow and stupid, and it seemed the whole point was to get Booker T. in the ring. After a few plodding moves, Kane tried to chokeslam Booker T., who hit the Axe Kick. Big Show caught him with the Knockout Punch. After the match, the fans wanted Booker T. to do the spinaroonie. He called Antonio Cesaro out and had the crowd sing Happy Birthday. Then he wanted to try the Cesaro Swing. Cesaro swung him as Booker T.'s music played, then they both did the spinaroonie.

John Cena vs. Randy Orton

Big pops for both "sports entertainers." The crowed was loud and into it the whole time, with plenty of competing Cena chants and a "this is awesome" chant. There were a lot of great spots and false endings before Orton was DQ'd for a low blow. Cena recovered to give him the AA and send the crowd home happy.
