New Champion Crowned at ROH Final Battle Show, Chris Hero Appears for Two Promotions in the Same Night

Ring Of HonorRing of Honor crowned a new ROH World TV Champion this weekend at Final Battle, when Tomasso Ciampa defeated Matt Taven in single action. As of last week, Taven is the longest reigning champion of his kind in ROH history. This marks Ciampa's first major singles title in pro wrestling. 

Chris Hero Works Double-Duty

Indie star Chris Hero (formerly NXT Superstar Kassius Ohno) worked double duty this weekend. He first appeared for CZW at their Cage of Death event, losing to CZW Champion Drew Gulak. Hero then left the show in New Jersey, and immediately drove to the Hammerstein Ballroom. He appeared after the main event – Adam Cole retained over Michael Elgin and Jay Briscoe – and attacked both Cole and his new partner, Matt Hardy. To close the show, the former ROH tag team champion announced that "Chris Hero was back" and celebrated with the fans. 

Hero was last seen in Ring of Honor in August of 2012, teaming with current WWE Superstar Antonio Cesaro. The two lost a tag team match to Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin, their last match before joining WWE developmental.
