NY Daily News Compares Gov't. Shutdown to WWE

Thanks to John Schuk for sending this in:

The New York Daily News has published an article comparing the current Government shutdown to WWE's Battleground PPV last night, and the article casts Speaker of the House John Boehner to Daniel Bryan, but then questions if he's really Randy Orton. The following is an article excerpt:

This isn’t democracy at work in Washington any longer, not the way the government is being run these days (at least the parts of it not shut down). This is pro wrestling. It is the WWE.

The big pay-per-view event Sunday shouldn’t have been WWE’s “Battleground,” with Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton fighting for the title. It should have been John Boehner against the President, Boehner still trying to convince the country that he and the Republicans are the heroes here.

The article goes on to cast other political players as WWE Battleground superstars, such as CM Punk and Ryback, and you can check it out at this link.
