WWE Smackdown Results (9/20) Vickie Shows Her Power, HHH Pushes For Fair Competition, Bryan/Usos Vs The Shield

Ryback (w/ Paul Heyman & Curtis Axel) vs Nick Nardone

Heyman cuts a promo about beating CM Punk, then Ryback says he stuck up for Heyman because he doesn't like bullies. He says his opponent is a bully and refused to sign an autograph for a fan, and he's going to beat Nardone up like he will Punk when he sees him. Ryback knocks Nardone down as the match starts, then Nardone punches him but Ryback hits a Meathook and Shell Shocked for the win.

Winner – Ryback

Randy Orton comes out and says there was a conspiracy to steal his WWE Championship, but it's 100 percent his fault because he's been pandering to the the fans. He says he locked away the sadistic side of himself because he thought it was what the fans wanted, but Monday night he found himself again. Orton says Triple H and Stephanie McMahon helped show his true character, and he took out Miz and beat him in front of his own parents because that's who he really is. Orton shows a clip from Monday and says it's a warning for anyone in his way, and there's no champion but it all changes at Battleground. He says he will end the war with Daniel Bryan for good, and he swears he will be their, no, his own WWE Champion.

11-on-3 Handicap Gauntlet Match

The Shield tackles Darren Young in the corner and repeatedly punch him, then they hold him up for a Reigns spear and get the first fall. Titus O'Neil runs out and knocks them all down, then Rollins holds his leg and Reigns takes him down with a shoulder tackle. They hold him down and hit him a few more times, then they triple powerbomb him for the second fall. Dolph Ziggler comes out and takes Rollins down to the mat, then he hits some mounted punches before going after Reigns in the corner. Ambrose and Rollins pull him on the mat and they all punch him a few times, then Reigns headbutts Dolph and Ambrose hits him in the stomach. Ambrose taunts him and Dolph comes back with a brief flurry of offense, then Reigns runs at him and Dolph pulls down the ropes. Dolph hits a Fameasser and sends Ambrose outside, then he goes after Rollins but Ambrose pulls him out to the floor. (Cont'd…)
